Seeing How To Work on Upwork

 Hi Guys!

Assalamualikum to everyone. I am Mohsin, a young Bachelor in his 2nd year of University. I am trying to find ways to make a living and I decided to try Upwork.

Will it work?

I dont know, frankly. I have been trying to go around the website and reading as many articles and information on it as I can. I have not read through everything so I cannot say for sure It will work (I hope it does!). But, so far, it has been just so-so. 

That's because, there are points that are unfavorable and there are points that are favorable and nice. I just really hope It can work out somehow. 

Dislikes

Honestly, some of the most annoying and dislikable points about Upwork are that,
  • you cannot get started immediately after signup, wait until your profile is approved .
  • Upwork makes is hard to find info more easily, need to dive deep to find something
  • Their cut is a bit too much. 20%? SERIOUSLY?

Likes

Upwork has some pretty decent points too.
  • Lots of Jobs
  • Nice asthetics
  • proper rules in place
  • many clients on the platform

Personal Feelings

If there is a feelings chart, then I have a whole host of feelings regarding Upwork. Its like a spectrum, or a range. Put it simply, It is like love-hate relationship. I hate them but I also like them. I just want them to fulfill my needs too.
I know, They must also be working in their own way to make things easy for everyone - as much as they can but still it is not enough. 

Conclusion

Well, I just hope Upwork works for me, (it UPs my work for me😂) so I can earn a living. [You know? dying here in my country...] Anyway it looks like a good opportunity to earn a living so I want to invest time in it to get something out of it God Willing. It certainly is going to require a lot of patience and grinding before getting somewhere.

I am going to try to remain as hopeful as I can. So lets move on!
